A compelling slate of stakes action is on tap for the upcoming meetings on the La Plata dirt

The Clásico Stud Book Argentino (L), the Clásico José María Boquín (L), and the Clásico Carlos Pellegrini highlight the cards scheduled for September 8 and 10
LA PLATA.— Everything was set this Monday for the next two race meetings scheduled at the city track, set to take place on Tuesday, September 8, and Thursday, September 10.
The stakes action promises to be compelling, featuring three classic contests. On the first of those dates, the stayers will continue their path toward the Gran Premio Dardo Rocha (G1) in the Clásico Stud Book Argentino (L-2,200 m, dirt), while the 3-year-olds will clash over the short distance in the Clásico José M. Boquín (L-1,200 m, dirt). Meanwhile, the feature of the latter card will revolve around the Clásico Carlos Pellegrini.
With 10 scratches recorded, ten horses were confirmed for the Stud Book Argentino, setting up a rematch between Nassau (Forge) and Sono Perfetto (Tetaze), who are coming off a thrilling finish in the Clásico Federación Argentina de Jockey Clubes e Hipódromos, where they crossed the wire in that order.
Also lining up for the race will be Amuni (Tetaze), Don Champagne (Long Island Sound), El Darwin (Il Campione), Jangadero (Gouverneur Morris), Le Quotidien (Le Ken), Nevada Top (Puerto Escondido), Trovatto (Remote), and Zuma Boy (Seahenge).
In the Boquín, meanwhile, only 6 of the 15 original entries were confirmed, led by Cadiz (Strategos) and Joy Conquistador (Roman Joy). Arc Village (Angiolo), Celtic Win (Gershwin), Lo Más de Sandino (Sandino Ruler), Full My (Full Mast), and Socio Gerente (Seize) complete the line-up.
On Thursday, September 10, the action turns to the Clásico Carlos Pellegrini (1,100 m, dirt), open to 4-year-olds and up, where the eight runners will be Cacal Island (Lizard Island), Last Word (Le Blues), Masky (Mask), Redentor Scat(Knockout), The Beast Party (In the Dark), Valdobbio (Hit It a Bomb), Vespaciano (Daniel Boone), and Yukon Jack (Remote).
