A dual G1 winner, Charm headlines the field against the unbeaten Moon Frank and Tiz Joy, along with Roshita and the rest of this season’s leading fillies

The G1 Gran Premio Polla de Potrancas (1600m, dirt) arrives in full force. None of the stars from the 2025 juvenile filly division will be missing this afternoon at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, as they chase ultimate glory in the first leg of Argentina’s Triple Crown.
Whichever filly crosses the wire first will have earned the right to be called the best, but the task looks anything but simple, regardless of past credentials.
Leading the way in the build-up is Charm (Strategos), campaigned by John Behrendt and his Triple Alliance, who has been close to flawless to this point. Last year’s undisputed Champion 2-Year-Old Filly, she is already a dual top-level winner, having annexed the G1 Gran Premio de Potrancas on turf at San Isidro before dominating Palermo’s dirt in the G1 Estrellas Juvenile Fillies.
Unbeaten in two starts, Moon Frank (Gidu) stamped herself as a rising star with a decisive score in the G2 Clásico General Luis María Campos, and connections are eager to see her confirm that she belongs among the very best.
Roshita (Gouverneur Morris) entered the Estrellas undefeated, but could do no better than fourth behind Charm, falling short of expectations. Still, her team at Rubio B. remains hopeful she can rediscover the form that carried her to victories in both the G2 Santiago Luro and the G2 Jorge de Atucha.
Making her comeback after a physical setback is Tiz Joy (Fortify), an early star after her win in the G2 Eliseo Ramírezon the San Isidro turf. The return from the layoff and her lack of dirt experience pose clear questions.
Forti Leaf (Fortify) narrowly defeated Mi Confesión (Suggestive Boy) in the G3 Güiraldes before finishing runner-up to Elenika (Winning Prize) in La Plata’s Polla de Potrancas (G2). Mi Confesión, meanwhile, was a clear standout when switched to turf in the Listed Bayakoa at San Isidro. Both seek further progress.
Stablemate to Charm, Lessons of Life (Le Blues) comes into the fray from the allowance ranks, showing steady improvement and hinting at greater things to come.
For those chasing a major upset, Souq (Forge) will try to rebound after failing to handle La Plata’s Polla, while Cannolina (South Kissing), a local turf winner, will attempt to emulate Vanguarda (Sekari), who shocked many years ago as an unexpected heroine of this very race.
