The fourth time proved the charm for the juvenile feature, which had previously been canceled on three occasions; the Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3) will also be run

LA PLATA.- A miracle occurred at this racetrack: the Clásico Luis María Doyhenard (G3), a key stop on the juvenile trail that had previously been canceled three times, will finally be run.
The race barely survived another cancellation, attracting six confirmed runners, though it remains to be seen whether all will ultimately make it to the gate. The standout name is Los Llanos (Le Blues), fresh winner of the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera de Buenos Aires (G3), who was also entered Monday for the Gran Premio Gran Criterium (G1) on the turf at San Isidro.
Fuego Imponente (Seahenge), Nashville Song (Nashville Texan), Salvador Glorioso (Glorious Moment), Soy Electricity (Electricity), and Unafraid (Forge) round out the field alongside Los Llanos.
The Handicap Haras Dilú (1000m, dirt) for mares aged four and up with three or more wins will be another attractive race on the card. There were no scratches from the original list of eight nominees, with Doña Chila (Peten Itza)carrying topweight of 61 kilos and expected to start favorite.
Also confirmed are Elkara (Il Campione, 56 1/2), Jaque Mate Sar (Sardinero, 54), Nashville Blue (Nashville Texan, 56), Pretty Fabulous (Macho Fabuloso, 57), Sprint Back (Nickelback, 56), Sra. Brandy (Señor Candy, 56 1/2), and Terra Fade (Fade Out, 56).
Completing the stakes action for the day is the Especial Snow Cat (1200m, dirt) for horses aged five and older with at least three career victories. Among the 10 confirmed runners, Atrevido Electric (Electricity) stands out as the topweight under 62 kilos.
Looking ahead, La Plata will also offer an appealing upper-level program on Saturday, May 16, headed by the Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3-1600m, dirt) for fillies and mares aged three and up under weight-for-age conditions.
Elenika (Winning Prize), Foto Mental (Leofric), Guadilu (Señor Candy), Happy Star (Fortify), Mimosa Grey (Zensational), Mis Locuras (Manipulator), Victoria Bayern (Santillano), and Emprestada (Cosmic Trigger) are set to line up.
The Especial Bethysmal (1600m, dirt) for mares aged five and up with three or more wins will accompany the Maqueda on the program, drawing eight entrants, including Expert Advice (Il Campione) and Puerta Plateada (Puerto Escondido), both assigned topweight of 56 kilos.
