Six Black-Type Races on Tap: Martínez, Beazley, Italia, Chile, and Falero at Palermo, Etoile at San Isidro

Next week’s programs at Argentina’s two premier tracks will feature no fewer than six black-type contests, five of them at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo spread across Saturday, Sept. 13 and Monday, Sept. 15.
Saturday’s action will be highlighted by the G3 Coronel Miguel F. Martínez (1800m, dirt) for 3-year-old colts, the G2 Francisco J. Beazley (1800m, dirt) for 3-year-old fillies, and the Clásico Pablo Gustavo Falero (1200m, dirt) for 4-year-olds and up.
Entries for the Martínez include Bay Max (Gouverneur Morris), Blue Caviar (Equal Stripes), Don Zahir (Daddy Long Legs), Empírico (Lucullan), Gordianus (Señor Candy), Hi Dolfi (Hi Happy), Hijo de Nadie (Cosmic Trigger), Jazz Disfrute (Hi Happy), Uncle Moi (Uncle Mo) and Zakapa (Fortify), with the G1 Gran Premio Nacional looming as the long-term target.
The Beazley, a key stepping-stone toward the G1 Selección, drew a field of eight led by Blues and Jazz (Equal Stripes), Doña Lucila (Equal Talent), Embrace It (Daddy Long Legs), Kalisia (Fortify), Lysva (Gouverneur Morris), Miss Kalima (Seahenge), Queen Elinor (Señor Candy) and Rosa Eterna (Long Island Sound).
The Falero sprint will see nine older horses clash, including Despacito (Sabayón), El Cuquito (Il Campione), El Epecuén (Il Campione), El Mejor Recuerdo (Il Campione), Freed From Desire (Holy Boss), Garufa Mask (Mask), Lunático Blues (Le Blues), Mr Neil (Valid Stripes) and Sonreime (Orpen).
Monday’s card features the G3 Clásico Italia (2000m, dirt) with Billion (Galicado), Davalos (Hi Happy), Qué Tarde Gris (Il Campione), Valle Barún (Vástago Salvaje) and Vota Bien (Hi Happy), while the G2 Clásico Chile (2200m, dirt) for older fillies and mares has drawn Emma Novela (Emmanuel), La Guernica (Il Campione), Martana (Fortify), Poker Mommy (Daddy Long Legs), Presencial (Suggestive Boy) and Risible (Orpen).
Meanwhile, at San Isidro, Thursday’s feature will be the L Clásico Etoile (1200m, dirt) for older fillies, with eight set to line up including Aiyanna (Santillano), Che Solita (Zensational), Cold Mind (Lucullan), Fontanela (Lucullan), Joy Antumalal (Il Campione), Look Happy (Hi Happy), Mi Negra Paula (Reflecting) and Moon Scenery (Puerto Escondido).
