Look Happy, Mi Negra Paula, Bichita de Luz, Emely, and City Land form a short but highly competitive group

A scheduling rotation brings racing back to Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo this Tuesday, repeating Monday’s structure. The 11-race programme is anchored by the Clásico Día de la Soberanía Nacional (1200m, dirt), for fillies and mares 4-years-old and up, with just five entered.
The undercard includes the Especial Mariano R. Cazeaux (1000m, dirt) and the Especial Special Reserve (1400m), both for older horses representing provincial stables.
The feature appears wide-open, with every runner holding a genuine chance under the weight-for-age conditions.
Separated by only half a neck, Look Happy (Hi Happy) and Mi Negra Paula (Reflecting) finished 1–2 in that order in the Handicap Resuello at San Isidro’s auxiliary track, where Look Happy enjoyed a 4.5-kilo advantage—an edge that disappears this time.
Just 14 days later, Mi Negra Paula traveled to La Plata for the Especial Illegally Blonde, where she was once again narrowly denied, finishing third by a half-head and a head behind Emma Linda (Emmanuel) and Jalimba (Señor Candy).
Bichita de Luz (Fragotero) has several wins above the ordinary level—stakes included—and while she has won gate-to-wire in the past, her recent form has shined from off the pace. She just finished fifth in the Orbit (L), and before that recorded runner-up finishes in the Laguna Blanca and Empeñosa Handicaps, reinforcing her strong present form.
Emely (Il Campione) is as reliable as they come— a true metronome. Winner of the Handicap Carapálida over this same track and trip, she arrives off a consistent string of placings, most recently a third in the Handicap Empeñosa.
Rounding out the group is City Land (Lizard Island), who comes off a dominant fourth career win at the allowance level and now returns to her home track looking to celebrate for the first time in stakes company.
