For several years, the G1 Gran Premio Jockey Club at San Isidro has featured two additional top-tier races on its card: the G1 Gran Premio San Isidro (1600m) and the G1 Suipacha (1000m), both on turf, and this year will be no exception.

Twelve were entered Monday for the middle-distance clash, while no fewer than 21 sophomores have been nominated for one of the season’s most important sprints.

Heading the list for the San Isidro are G1 winner Earth God (Cosmic Trigger) and the graded runners Kopke (Hi Happy), Storm Sound (Hi Happy), Concord (Remote), Adorado Rim (Remote), along with classic scorers Ronda de Ases (Forge) and Talented Hit (Hit It a Bomb).

Rounding out an attractive lineup are Descamisado (Cosmic Trigger), the filly Felicidad Compartida (Le Blues), Hop On (Endorsement), Quemetomo (Equal Talent), and What a Man (Mastercraftsman).

Looking to the Suipacha, a thrilling showdown could unfold, with a potential rematch between Le Cornette (Emmanuel) and the three-time winner Labrado (Le Blues), both seeking redemption after subpar efforts—Le Cornette in the G2 Clásico Cyllene and Labrado in the G1 Estrellas Sprint.

Several other dangerous contenders could enter the fray, including Bailarín de Venecia (Angiolo), fresh off a decisive Cyllene score; the filly Sarzana Pass (Distinctiv Passion); and the highly regarded Hiran (Santillano), another division standout.

Additional probable runners for the Suipacha include Aires de Gloria (Angiolo), Azúcar Negro (Angiolo), Bank One(Lenovo), Bizarrap (Forge), Cerrito Piñón (Manipulator), El Madrugador (Il Campione), Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy), Exclamación Pass (Distinctiv Passion), Filoso Class (Filoso Emperor), Forever Rim (Remote), Grilldado (Dado Vuelta), La Bella Otero (Daddy Long Legs), Land of Promise (Le Blues), Opreso (Endorsement), Wally Gator (Lizard Island), and Wish You Luck (Winning Prize).

The Gran Premio San Isidro will carry a purse of 50,000,000 pesos, with 25,000,000 to the winner, while the Suipacha will offer 40,000,000 pesos, 20,000,000 to first. The stage is set for another thrilling weekend at San Isidro.
