A card packed with top-class action awaits this afternoon at the Jockey Club, which will also feature the GIII Clásico de la Provincia de Buenos Aires

A fantastic afternoon of top-class racing awaits this Saturday at the Hipódromo de San Isidro, with a triple feature of major significance. The Gran Premio Copa de Oro (G1–2400 m, turf) will point key names toward December’s Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (G1); the Gran Premio Enrique Acebal (G1–2000 m, turf) will crown the best 3-year-old filly on grass; and the Clásico de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (G3–2400 m, turf) will offer promising colts the chance to dream of the season’s grand finale.
After defeating Need You Tonight (Hat Ninja) in the Gran Premio General San Martín (G1) on Palermo’s grass, Acento Final (Treasure Beach) returns to the scene of his Gran Premio Jockey Club (G1) triumph, seeking another major victory and hoping to capitalize on the confidence boost from that recent success.
It won’t come easy, though. Among his chief rivals are Vota Bien (Hi Happy), who was untouchable in taking the Clásico Perú (G2) at Palermo; Time to Think (Seahenge), a 10-length runaway winner in the Clásico Yatasto (G3) over soft local turf; and Capitán Kid (Daniel Boone), who has twice run into the quality of Vundu (Suggestive Boy) in the Clásicos Potrillón and Engrillado.
In the Enrique Acebal, the spotlight shifts to the fillies, where Great Fight (Equal Stripes) looks to take the next big step after capturing the Clásico Federico de Alvear (G2). She’ll face a serious test against unbeaten Sachi (Cosmic Trigger), making her return and held in high regard, and Cálida Sonrisa (Cosmic Trigger), heroine of the Gran Premio Selección de Potrancas (G1) at La Plata.
Adding further intrigue are Rosa Eterna (Long Island Sound), runner-up to Charm (Strategos) in the Gran Premio Selección (G1), switching surfaces with valuable experience, and rail-drawn Pawnee Drive (Lucullan), still unbeaten and capable of springing a surprise.
Finally, the Clásico de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (G3) gives Señor Sandro (Cityscape) a prime chance to earn his first graded win after an excellent runner-up finish to Real Rim (Remote) in the Gran Premio Jockey Club (G1). Ardiendo (Remote), winner of the Gran Criterium (G1), aims to bounce back and looms as a key threat.
A day of turf excellence lies ahead at San Isidro—where champions are made and new dreams begin.
