The jockey highlighted the colt's ability to adapt to whatever the race demands and is confident in continuing to add victories

LA PLATA.– If anyone knows El Resero Con Capa, it is Adrián Giannetti. The jockey has been in the saddle for every single one of his performances and was once again tasked with guiding him this Sunday toward another demonstration of class in the Clásico General Manuel Belgrano (G3), where the son of Angiolo confirmed his status as the number one sprinter at the La Plata racecourse.
Following the victory, the rider shared the celebration with his children Pía, Ian, and Ana María, and particularly highlighted the horse's ability to overcome a demanding track and a running style that could have been uncomfortable on paper.
"We had a bit of doubt with the track, which is very deep, but the horse overcame everything; that is just how he is, and he deserves all the praise. I had studied the race and there were fast rivals, so I thought it might suit him to bide his time. But when the gates open, he gives his best and is very easy to handle," Giannetti explained.
The race ended up being another exhibition of character by the Stud Tres Jotas defender. He went out to do his job practically from the jump, withstood the pressure from his rivals, and never relinquished the lead.
"He got upfront quickly, they attacked him, but it was no use. He overcomes everything. He feels comfortable in La Plata, perhaps because it is where he trains, but he knows it and it is where he feels best. In Palermo and San Isidro he does not run like this, it is in La Plata, and it is no coincidence that his best races have been here. We had the idea of going to run in 1,000-meter straights, but I think he is not ready for that. In fact, I believe that when he matures, he will handle more distance, even though we have already tried," the pilot added.
At just 3 years old and with a campaign that continues to add outstanding chapters, the future looks highly promising for El Resero Con Capa, who keeps growing and consolidating an increasingly important profile within the national sprint division.
Giannetti also showed optimism regarding what lies ahead, both for the horse and for his own book of mounts in the next major events on the racing calendar.
"He has a long way to go, and an impeccable campaign. He is 3 years old, and he will continue to bring us joy. Now the Estrellas is coming up, with nice mounts and good races; hopefully, we have the luck to win one. But just being present and well-mounted is a joy," he concluded.
As the calendar moves toward the Grandes Premios Estrellas, El Resero Con Capa continues to build a strong case to sustain his reign in the Bosque. And, as on so many occasions, he did it once again at the hands of the jockey who knows him best.
