As the field entered the stretch, Quality Boy launched an outside bid, seized command effortlessly, and began to draw away with every stride. He crossed the wire a commanding 10 lengths clear of Don Cervantes (ARG), stopping the clock in a respectable 1:48.82. El Alibey (ARG) finished a further six lengths back in third.
Campaigned by the Pedro Agustín stable and trained by Carlos Vescia, Quality Boy was bred by Al Adiyaat. He is out of the Elusive Quality mare Raihana, winner of the UAE Oaks (L) and runner-up in the UAE Derby (G2) in Dubai. Now a seven-time winner from 43 career starts, the veteran continues to prove that while he may be senior in age, he remains a force to be reckoned with at the top level.
