LA PLATA.— In top form, Agradecida Pass will try to keep her momentum going as she steps up to face the boys in the Especial Haras San Benito, the feature on this afternoon’s card at La Plata. The dash will be run over 1000 meters, offering a modest ARS 5,270,000 to the winner.

The Distinctiv Passion filly from Stud Pauli carries just 52 kilos and arrives off back-to-back victories—first in an allowance and then in the Handicap José Hernández, where she narrowly held off Empress Life (Legión de Honor), who came right back to score decisively next time.

Her stiffest challenge for trainer Marcelo Sueldo—with Juan P. E. Díaz listed as the presenting trainer—figures to come from the proven Humor Sabatino (Sabayón, 58 kilos). The veteran speedster, winner of multiple handicaps at Palermo and well-seasoned at higher levels, returns from 239 days on the sidelines and is expected to be influential on the pace in his first start at the Bosque.

Plenty of respect is due to Arrosto (Manipulator, 52 kilos), who also benefits from a light impost and exits a third-place finish in the Clásico Ciudad de Berisso.

Maylena (Qué Vida Buena, 52 kilos), the other filly in the small field, was fourth in the José Hernández but owns a solid résumé with 4 wins from 8 starts. She continues to search for her spot, and it seems only a matter of time before she lands it. Consistent types Oro Azterca (Empire Aztec, 54) and El Santo Remedio (Il Campione, 54) round out a compact but competitive lineup.
