The son of Angiolo stands out in Thursday's feature race, which will also host the conclusion of the Copa Criadores de Entre Ríos, always over 1000 m

An everyday program was put together for this Thursday at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, featuring a good number of alternatives and two races above the common level. On one hand, veteran sprinters will bring to life the Handicap Laramie Trail (1000 m, dirt); on the other, the old circus at Avenida del Libertador and Dorrego will be the setting for the Final de la Copa Criadores de Entre Ríos 2026 (1000 m, dirt), for 2-year-olds, organized by the Breeders' Association of that province.

Later in the evening, 14 contenders will participate in the event honoring the unforgettable stallion from Haras El Candil, a machine for producing great horses, especially sprinters. The preview looks wide open, with several names capable of taking the victory. The top weight of 61 kilos will be carried by Aires de Gloria (Angiolo), who returns to a level where he has already achieved a couple of victories after finishing fourth in the Clásico Jerry Honor and fifth in the Irlanda (G3), against the best of the division.

The useful En Un Rincón (Manipulator, 59 1/2) has just overcome his layoff with an acceptable third-place finish behind Claro Key (Claro Oscuro) in the Handicap Manantial, and seems ready to make his presence felt once again. A stakes winner, he will be ridden by the experienced Abel Giorgis.

No less than the aforementioned is Ruler Man (Lenovo, 59 1/2), winner of the handicaps Hunter's Moon and Liloybefore finishing a distant third to Aires de Gloria in the Handicap Easing Along and fifth to Le Cornette (Emmanuel) in the Clásico Irlanda (G3), just 5 1/2 lengths back.

Spicy Vibe (Santillano, 53) comes off an upset victory here in the Handicap Resuello, carries a very light weight, and is another contender in the main group, which must also include Gran Compañero (South Kissing, 59), the mare Eleven Mile (Il Campione, 55), and Maranelo (Holy Boss, 59).

Regarding the Final de la Copa Criadores de Entre Ríos, Artemaníaco (Art Attack) and Vida Suprema (Qué Vida Buena) prevailed in the qualifiers, and now they must ratify their hometown performances at historic Palermo. Both won clearly, so it will be difficult for their rivals to defeat them.
