With Gustavo Calvente in the irons, he dominated from start to finish and was the standout figure this Saturday at Palermo

After five and a half months, Aires de Gloria returned to the winner's circle, and he certainly did so in fine form. Carrying one of the top weights, the bay from Stud La Familia Ingalls destroyed the five rivals that crossed his path in the Handicap Easing Along, the feature race of Saturday's lackluster card at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, contested over 1,000 meters on the dirt.

Six starts had passed since the son of Angiolo triumphed in the Handicap Día del Médico Veterinario, during a peak performance period that had previously seen him celebrate in the Clásico Aristophanes.

Now, with Gustavo Calvente in the irons, he quickly took the lead, ignored all challengers, and from the 300-meter mark to the wire, drew off with absolute ease to cross the finish line 7 lengths ahead of East Ender (Il Campione, 54 1/2).

Another 4 lengths back, in a poor effort, the heavy favorite Ruler Man (Manipulator) finished in third place, weakening in the closing stages and feeling the weight increase, as he had to carry 59 kilos this time.

Conditioned by Ricardo Scialchi, and now 5 years old, Aires de Gloria is out of the stakes winner Saiardhana (Sebi Halo). His record now shows 5 wins from 24 starts, reaching $45,916,000 in total earnings.
