SÃO PAULO, Brazil (Special for Turf Diario).— It was one of those demonstrations of endurance that only the chosen few can deliver. Within the framework of the Grande Prêmio São Paulo festival, Cidade Jardim surrendered to the feet of an Altair Domingos who is not only back but is also going through a state of absolute grace. With 3 G1 victories in a single weekend, the rider left his mark of quality, demonstrating why he remains an unavoidable reference in the Southern Cone.

The task began to take shape on Saturday, during the running of the Grande Prêmio OSAF (G1). There, the jockey shone aboard the excellent Veil, the bay from Haras Belmont Ltda. trained by Mauricio Sergio de Oliveira. It was a monologue by the daughter of Can The Man: Altair Domingos took the lead as soon as the gates opened and, with masterful timing, led her all the way over the 2 kilometers of turf. Never threatened at any point in the stretch, the champion stopped the clock in 1m58s577.

In the kilometer of the Grande Prêmio ABCPCC (G1), the Rio Iguassu Express, Eletrizante Dollar, once again proved he is the king of speed. The son of Billion Dollar, in a commendable physical recovery by Antonio Oldoni's team, achieved his second consecutive victory in the race with a frightening authority. Although Lion' Heart tried to put up a fight at the start, Altair Domingos dominated him just by loosening the reins. The winner extended his lead in the end to stop the clock at 54s383, giving the stud its seventh success in this contest.

But the best was yet to come on Sunday, a day where the rider closed a perfect balance with 4 photos. In the Grande Prêmio Juliano Martins (G1), the grey Twist do Iguassu confirmed all the good things said about him after his time in the Turfe Gaúcho. Also under the care of Antônio Oldoni and defending the silks of Haras Rio Iguassu, he adapted to the increased distance as if he had run it his entire life. Altair Domingos simplified the equation by putting him in front from the jump, allowing him to flourish at will. Upon hitting the straight, the son of Kentuckian bid farewell to his pursuers with staggering ease, clocking 1m27s30 for the 1400 meters and giving the Pelanda family a trophy that rewards their constant investment in national racing.

It was, ultimately, the weekend of Altair Domingos. A demonstration that class is not lost over time and that, when a jockey of his hierarchy is paired with horses of the caliber of Veil, Twist do Iguassu, and Eletrizante Dollar, the result can be none other than maximum glory.

The Cidade Jardim festival had many protagonists, but the jockey's name remained etched in fire as the great architect of a day that is already part of the great history of Brazilian turf.
