This Thursday's feature race at La Plata will be contested over 1100 meters for 3-year-old fillies, offering a stepping stone toward the upcoming stakes events in the division

LA PLATA.- The Especial Micénida (1100 m, dirt) will stand as the feature event of Thursday's card at the local track, featuring 3-year-old fillies looking to bring some order to the division's sprint rankings.

The occasion could serve for Amiguita Casual to consolidate the progress she has been showing, which led her to score last time out in the Especial Velocistas - Potrancas, pulling off an upset by half a length over Dolceana (Endorsement).

Her primary threat appears to be Helen Pretty (Pneumatic), a special traveler sent from Training Track 2 at Hipódromo de San Isidro by Gustavo Scarpello and his team, who backed up her promising debut by winning on Carreras de las Estrellas day over the Jockey Club Argentino dirt track by a neck over Carismática (Strategos). She now changes tracks and steps up in class, and it remains to be seen how she handles those new challenges.

Against Amiguita Casual, Pasión del Alma Pass (Distinctiv Passion) was a complete disappointment when finishing last, but in her prior effort she had defeated her with some authority when both finished behind Juara (Storm Embrujado). With that form line in mind, it is well worth giving another chance to the Haras El Alfalfar homebred.

Ossira Win (Gershwin) cuts back in distance after making her first start after exiting the maiden ranks with a fifth-place finish behind Tardona (Gidu), while Temper Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), Candy Compadrona (Mahi Mahi), and Crazy Train (Remote) are all seeking another step forward following their maiden wins. The field is completed by the maiden La Figurilla (Emotion Orpen), who has already come close on a couple of occasions.
