The daughter of Mask seeks redemption after finishing third in the Clásico Vale Dori, and dangerous rivals are in plenty supply

The racing weekend in Argentina will be completed with the card that awaits this Sunday on the turf at San IsidroRacetrack—always depending on weather conditions, of course, which, should they worsen, could lead to massive transfers to the dirt track.
With several conditional races of high projection in the mix, the feature event will be provided by the Clásico General Las Heras (G3), for mares 3 years old and up and one of the few races at that level on the calendar for females over 1400 meters on the diagonal.
No fewer than 12 runners have been confirmed, and choosing a candidate is by no means simple facing such a balanced field. Amonet (Mask) could have improved upon her recent third-place finish behind Isolation (Suggestive Boy) in the Clásico Vale Dori had she not suffered a few complications. Here, she seeks a new opportunity to return to the forefront.
Her jockey will be Facundo Coria, who is also usually the mount of Blessed Shine (Honour Devil), whom he has now departed. Generous in her performances, and with Gustavo Calvente replacing the Cordoban in the saddle, the bay mare comes off chasing home Lancara (Manipulator) in the Clásico Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas SPC (G3), but prior to that, she had captured the Jamelao (G3), always at Palermo.
Despite her recent dip in the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera (G3), where she finished sixth just 2 lengths back, full credit must still be given to the talented Stormy Summer (Nicholas), a specialist over the 14 furlongs who already boasts 3 stakes victories on her record.
That afternoon, Adi Shakti (Lucullan) snatched a narrow victory but subsequently tempted fortune in the Gran Premio Copa Diamante (G1), finishing ninth to Indiana Candy (Señor Candy). She drops back down in distance and wants redemption.
Foto Mental (Leofric) has just captured the Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3) at La Plata, while Verenna (Cosmic Trigger) and Reina Secreta (Victor Security) await their chance to spring a surprise.
