The high-class filly targets a signature victory in the Especial Doctrinaria Slew, while the accomplished colt looms as the overwhelming betting favorite to capture the Handicap Haras La Providencia

LA PLATA, Argentina— The Especial Doctrinaria Slew over 1,700 meters on the main track and the Handicap Haras La Providencia going 1,200 meters will serve as the twin feature attractions on a brief, ten-race program scheduled for Tuesday afternoon at the provincial oval. Eligibility conditions require a minimum of three career victories for both features, with the former restricted to mares five years old and upward and the latter tailored for older horses aged four and up.
A well-balanced field of nine prospective entrants has been finalized for the Especial Doctrinaria Slew, presenting a highly competitive scenario lacking a clear-cut standout. Carrying a highly favorable low weight of just 52 kilograms (approximately 115 pounds), the timing appears ideal for Beauty de Triomphe (Cima de Triomphe) to finally secure the elusive breakthrough stakes victory she has been tracking. Showing early classic potential, she previously achieved a third-place finish in the Clásico Diego White (G3) and a solid fourth in the Gran Premio de Potrancas (G1). While she enters the race on the heels of a sixth-place effort in the Clásico Partícula (G2) over the San Isidro turf, her prior form includes a highly encouraging allowance score over conventional dirt tracks.
Her primary opposition is expected to come from the class-dropping Expert Advice (Il Campione, 56 kg), who seeks a crucial form reversal following a string of disappointing performances. Despite her recent slump, her underlying back class and historical stakes performance make her a formidable threat in this particular lineup. Meanwhile, the consistent Puerta Plateada (Puerto Escondido, 56 kg) and Doña Super (Daddy Long Legs, 54 kg) carry the necessary credentials to launch a successful upset bid.
The quality of competition intensifies significantly in the Handicap Haras La Providencia, where the high-class Escape Room (Il Campione, 55 kg) will attempt to find his way back to the winner's circle. Campaigned by Stud Pauli, the talented runner concluded his previous racing cycle with a respectable fifth-place finish in the Clásico Pippermint (G2),which followed a spectacular runner-up effort behind Drive Joy (Fortify) in the prestigious Gran Premio de las Américas - OSAF (G1) at Palermo despite enduring severe racing room trouble. The primary tactical question mark surrounding his candidacy will be his ability to handle the significant turnback in distance to the six-furlong trip.
He will face an aggressive group of proven sprinters, spearheaded by the veteran Colour Vision (Univisión, 60 kg).Boasting three individual non-conditional victories on his resume, he enters on the strength of a fifth-place finish in the Clásico 25 de Mayo de 1810 (G2); however, he must overcome a highly restrictive top-weight assignment. The remaining primary contenders looking to exploit any tactical vulnerabilities include Oro Azteca (Empire Aztec, 56 kg),Vespaciano (Daniel Boone, 59.5 kg), and Redentor Scat (Knockout, 54.5 kg).
