The Grade 2 Clásico Raúl Aristegui at La Plata will serve as the proving ground where several fillies aim to show they’re ready to stretch out in both distance and ambition

LA PLATA.- This afternoon, the fillies will take a crucial step as they focus on the second half of the year with the 1500-meter Clásico Raúl Aristegui (G2), where seven confirmed entries promise an intriguing showdown.
Some of these fillies aim to prove they are more than just speed and precocity, while others will try to show that with longer distances, their true potential is emerging—ingredients that build excitement for what racing fans will witness on the track.
Calle de Tierra (Strategos) belongs to the first group. After maintaining an undefeated record through her first four starts, she lost that status in the Fortunato Damiani (G3) over 1300 meters, caught at the wire by Citana (Endorsement), who went on to run brilliantly in the Gran Premio de Potrancas (G1) on the San Isidro turf, finishing second to Charm(Strategos). Can the representative of Stud El Gruñón make the leap?
She faces several challengers, beginning with Elenika (Winning Prize), whom she had previously bested but who has shown a different, promising profile by winning the Clásico Andrés S. Torres (G3) by four lengths at 1400 meters.
Day Light (Hurricane Cat) and Hi Crystal (Hi Happy), runner-ups in that same Torres, return to the gate aiming to close the gap and exact revenge.
Undefeated in two starts, Forti Leaf (Fortify) seeks to join the ranks of the stakes contenders. She debuted impressively with an eight-length win, then repeated over 1200 meters on San Isidro’s dirt, defeating just two rivals by 3 ½ lengths. The added distance remains a question mark.
Mis Locuras (Manipulator), riding a two-race winning streak, tries to live up to her name coming from behind, while Moto Ninja (Hat Ninja) made a striking debut and looks to break into the elite ranks.
