The G3 República Federativa del Brasil (1600m, turf) and the G3 Ricardo P. Sauze (1600m, dirt) will headline the racing action in the upcoming week at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, with both stakes set for Sunday, August 10. Supporting the graded features will be two restricted events—the Ill Diabolo (1000m, dirt) and the Don Bildo(1400m, dirt)—exclusively for horses with form established in Argentina’s interior.

The Brasil, open to horses aged four and up, attracted a field of 10, including G1 winners Earth God (Cosmic Trigger) and Comando Secreto (War Command). They could be joined by Approval Cat (Southern Cat), Blue Dollar (Orpen), G2 scorer Concord (Remote), El Ernesto (Señor Candy), Paraná Miní (Winning Prize), Preston Boss (Holy Boss), Talented Hit (Hit It a Bomb), and What a Man (Mastercraftsman).

In the Sauze, which is restricted to fillies and mares aged four and older, the standout name is Escolastic Girl (Suggestive Boy), though she will have to contend with the likes of Noche Alta (Hi Happy) and the improving Orpen Rimout(Remote). Others expected to start include Garbiñe (Lucullan), International Look (Cosmic Trigger), and Maga Zulu(Equal Talent).

Palermo’s week begins on Friday, August 8, with two handicaps for older horses over the dirt: the Día del Médico Veterinario (1000m) and the Servicio Veterinario del Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo (1200m), both open to 5-year-olds and up. Several of the same names appear across both contests.

In the 1000-meter race, Filoso Class (Filoso Emperor) and Príncipe Soñado (Fragotero) share top weight at 60 kilos, while in the 1200-meter event, Despacito (Sabayón) and El Epecuén (Il Campione) received highweight assignments of 62.5 kilos.

The week wraps up on Monday, August 11, with the featured Especial Taba, a 1200-meter sprint for fillies and mares aged four and up under weight-for-age conditions.

Among the 10 entries are: A La Vista (Angiolo), Bichita de Luz (Fragotero), Emely (Il Campione), Farika(Bodemeister), Look Happy (Hi Happy), Maylena (Qué Vida Buena), Poli Chiara (Vástago Salvaje), Rumba Feroz(Hurricane Cat), Save Your Tears (Full Mast), and Victoria Bayern (Santillano).
