The cards for the next three race days at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo were finalized on Tuesday, with the Clásico República Federativa del Brasil (G3, 1600m, turf) and the Clásico Ricardo P. Sauze (G3, 1600m, dirt) set to headline the upcoming week’s stakes action.

Scheduled for Sunday, August 10, the Brasil is open to horses aged four and up, while the Sauze is restricted to fillies and mares four years old and older. The day’s program will also feature a pair of listed events for runners based in Argentina’s interior: the Ill Diabolo (1000m, dirt) and Don Bildo (1400m, dirt).

Eight of the ten original nominees were confirmed for the Clásico Brasil, led by G1 winners Earth God (Cosmic Trigger) and Comando Secreto (War Command). Their rivals will include: Blue Dollar (Orpen), G2 winner Concord(Remote), El Ernesto (Señor Candy), Paraná Miní (Winning Prize), Preston Boss (Holy Boss) and What a Man(Mastercraftsman).

The Sauze remained intact with no defections. The six contenders are: Escolastic Girl (Suggestive Boy), Noche Alta (Hi Happy), Orpen Rimout (Remote), Garbiñe (Lucullan), International Look (Cosmic Trigger) and Maga Zulu (Equal Talent).

The week kicks off on Friday, August 8, with two handicaps: the Día del Médico Veterinario (1000m, dirt) and the Servicio Veterinario del Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo (1200m, dirt), both open to winners aged five and older. As expected, several names overlap between the two.

Príncipe Soñado (Fragotero) will carry highweight of 60 kilos in the first of those races, facing nine opponents. In the latter, Despacito (Sabayón) and El Epecuén (Il Campione) top the scale at 62.5 kilos.

The final meeting of the stretch will be held on Monday, August 11, headlined by the Especial Taba (1200m, dirt), for fillies and mares four years old and up under weight-for-age conditions.

Only five have entered: Bichita de Luz (Fragotero), Emely (Il Campione), Maylena (Qué Vida Buena), Save Your Tears (Full Mast), and Victoria Bayern (Santillano).
