Jamie Osborne had a brilliant International Carnival at Meydan, and he aspires to a grand finale

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Special for Turf Diario).— Revenge is an inexhaustible engine in horse racing, and Jamie Osborne seems to have all the credentials to reclaim what escaped him by a whisker twelve months ago. Following that defeat by a nose with Heart Of Honor (Honor A.P.) against the Japanese runner Admire Daytona(Drefong), the British trainer returns to the UAE Derby (G2) with a story that blends excellence in genetics and international ambition.
This time, the main card is Brotherly Love, none other than the half-brother of that very Heart Of Honor (Zoustar). Both are out of the Chilean champion Ruby Love (Scat Daddy), and while the elder prepares for the Dubai World Cup(G1), the colt comes off a decisive victory in the Dubai Road To The Kentucky Derby (L). “We are very happy with both. On Friday they had their last strong work and everything went according to plan,” commented Jimmy McCarthy, right-hand man to Osborne, who is also betting on family talent: his daughter, Saffie Osborne, will be in the irons seeking to become the first woman to win during the great Meydan showcase.
However, the path will not be easy. The Japanese block, which has dominated this competition for the last four years, presents Pyromancer (Pyro) for Godolphin, and Wonder Dean (Dee Majesty), a pupil of Daisuke Takayanagi who arrives with a better weight assignment after his stint in the Saudi Derby (G3).
Brotherly Love will seek the glory that was elusive for his brother last year.
