He competed in the G1 Carlos Pellegrini, the G1 Dardo Rocha, and the G1 Estrellas Classic... Without a doubt, if there was one thing Juan Saldivia always maintained regarding Buen Escosés, it was high regard. Now, finally, in a new stage of his career, the son of Bodemeister is beginning to respond at his peak, translating his morning morning brilliance to the track.

He returned in January after being able to run only once between late 2024 and all of 2025, and his effectiveness and level have surged. He won upon his return, then finished second in the Handicap Ultrasonido, and this Friday easily captured the Especial El Serrano (1800m, dirt). The race, the first of two features on the card, honored the unforgettable 1986 Triple Crown winner.

With William Pereyra in the irons and carrying a mid-level weight of 56kg (assigned by races won), the bay representing Stud El Brujo y El Tordo made it look simple. He stalked the pacesetting highweight Atomic Trigger (Cosmic Trigger, 62kg), took command midway through the stretch, and drew off effortlessly.

At the wire, he held a five-length advantage over Atomic Trigger, with Software (Treasure Beach, 56kg) another 12 lengths back—completing the trifecta predicted by Turf Diario. The final time was 1:50.02 following fractions of :21.87, :48.88, 1:13.17, and 1:37.12.

Buen Escosés was bred by Haras La Pasión and is out of the talented Buenas Costumbres (Honour and Glory), winner of the G2 Marcos Levalle and L Luis Monteverde. She is also the dam of G2-placed Berri Vell, a full sibling by Bodemeister.
