Don Latido will seek to extend his streak in the first of those races; among the fillies, it's wide open

The marquee program this Saturday at Hipódromo de San Isidro will feature more than just the Gran Premio Miguel A. Martínez de Hoz (G1)—two additional graded stakes add to the day’s allure.
The Clásico Horacio Bustillo (G2), a mile test for 3-year-olds and up, and the Clásico Omnium (L), a 1400-meter handicap for fillies and mares, will both be contested on the turf.
The Bustillo brings together several of the division’s top contenders, with Don Latido (John F Kennedy) looking to capitalize on his hot form and trademark late kick. The Haras San Benito homebred arrives off back-to-back victories in the Clásicos Urbano de Iriondo (L) and Invasor (G3) and returns to the mile from seven furlongs.
The task will be anything but easy, with Bronx (Qué Vida Buena), winner of the 2024 Estrellas Mile (G1), standing in his path. Bronx, representing Stud Tres P, finished fifth, three lengths behind El Que Sabe (Il Campione) in the Gran Premio Joaquín S. de Anchorena (G1) and renews rivalry with Folie Ninja (Hat Ninja), the other winner of the Estrellas Mile, in a dead-heat with Bronx.
Folie Ninja has struggled for form since that performance but could bounce back here. Adding further intrigue is Estero de Ibera (Il Campione), whose devastating late run, guided by Francisco Leandro, earned him victory in the Clásico Haras Ojo de Agua (L) just weeks ago.
The lineup also includes:
The Goat (Fortify), a promising 3-year-old,
Midnight Runner (Forge), a speedy frontrunner tough to reel in,
The consistent duo of Chanclette (Super Saver) and Santo Varón (Sebi Halo),
And the wildcard Puerto Aventura (Suggestive Boy), a potential upsetter.
The Omnium (L), meanwhile, pits rising sophomore Save Your Tears (Full Mast, 56) against seasoned contenders. She will face Giornata (Full Mast, 61), a multiple winner aiming to recapture her best form, and Candlelit (Equal Stripes, 55), a key player from the 2024 San Isidro turf stakes scene.
Potential spoilers include the lightweight filly Verenna (Cosmic Trigger, 53), who enters off two sharp allowance wins.
Also in the lineup are: Estrella del Día (Il Campione, 52 1/2) and Dream Serena (Forge, 54), both slightly below the top tier on paper but ready to surprise.
With these two compelling contests supporting the Martínez de Hoz, San Isidro promises a thrilling start to the graded stakes season.
