Now comes the task of cementing that status, precisely as the calendar begins directing the sophomore generation toward the ultimate challenge of taking on older horses in the Clásico Ciudad de La Plata(G2) on November 19.

That target serves as the backdrop for Tuesday's feature event at the local venue, the Clásico José M. Boquín (L-1200 m, dirt), scheduled as the fourth race on the card at 3:30 p.m. with just six runners in the gates. While compact, the lineup possesses more than enough quality to deliver an enticing and blistering contest right from the break.

Cadiz earned the role of race favorite through pure dominance. Since his connections opted to point him toward the local sprinting ranks, the grey colt has responded with back-to-back sparkling performances.
