The daughter of Strategos squares off in the Clásico Raúl Lottero against Starry Bomb and Verdadera Pass

LA PLATA.- Tuesday’s card at La Plata will reach its high point with the Clásico Raúl Lottero (L), run at 1200 meters for 3-year-old fillies, a key stop in shaping the young sprint division.
Among the seven entered, the spotlight falls on the return to sprinting of Calle de Tierra. The daughter of Strategoslaunched her career in brilliant fashion at short trips, sweeping both the qualifying heat and final of the Precoces tournament, adding the Clásico Nueva Generación and the Clásico Derli Gómez (G3)—the latter at the same trip she’ll tackle here. But after that sparkling start, she found her limits when stretched, finishing second in the Fortunato Damiani(G3) and fifth in the Raúl Aristegui (G2). Absent for 91 days, she now returns to what looks like her best game.
The test will be far from simple. Awaiting her is Starry Bomb (Hit It a Bomb), who most recently delivered a dominant victory in the Clásico Wilfredo Latham (L) at 1100 meters.
Fresh off Saturday’s Polla de Potrillos (G1) triumph at Palermo with Gardel Pass (Distinctiv Passion), the El Alfalfarteam seeks another headline win with Verdadera Pass, a paternal half-sister to Gardel Pass who dazzled in her latest by 11 lengths, stopping the clock in a sharp 58.85.
Behind Starry Bomb in the Latham finished Llamame a la Tarde (Presagio Key) and Tranquila Señora (Fortify), separated by only a neck after chasing the winner home two lengths adrift—margins that could easily shift this time.
Also in the mix is Let Me Dance (Le Blues), unbeaten in her first two southern appearances before trailing in the Guillermo Paats (L) at Palermo, now returning home seeking redemption.
Rounding out the field is Energía y Vida (Il Campione), who broke her maiden by six lengths before repeating against winners with a measured half-length score over The Great War (The Great Day), confirming her steady progress.
