The son of Manipulator achieved the best victory of his career in the Especial Parlanchín

The heavy favorite Río Felipín (Grand Reward, 58) was a shadow of his former self, opening the door for any outcome in the Especial Parlanchín (1,200m, dirt), the feature race of another weak card at San Isidro.
The one who best capitalized on the situation was Cerrito Piñón, who took the opportunity to redeem himself after failing in the Grand Prix Suipacha (G1) and Maipú (G1). By getting back on the right track, he achieved the most important victory of his extensive career. It took the son of Manipulator 38 starts to cross the wire first in a race above the ordinary level, although, truth be told, he had come close before, even at the stakes level.
Extending the unstoppable momentum of jockey William Pereyra, the Stud Agostina representative waited for the leader Señor Moon (E Dubai, 56) and Río Felipín to wear each other out at the front. He launched an outside bid in the homestretch, took command at the 200-meter mark, and began to draw away with great authority.
At the wire, Cerrito Piñón established a 6-length advantage over Por Ahí (Strategic Prince, 54), with Señor Moonanother length back in third, all in a final time of 1m9s88/100. Río Felipín, returning from a multi-month layoff, finished last, 15 lengths adrift.
Bred by Haras Marías del Sur and trained by Juan C. Amor, Cerrito Piñón
