Entries were finalized this Tuesday for the upcoming back-to-back cards at the Hipódromo de Palermo, highlighted by a stellar stakes triple-header scheduled for Saturday.

The newly turned 3-year-olds will launch their road toward the Argentine Triple Crown and the Pollas division with the Clásico Manuel J. Güiraldes (G3, 1400m, dirt) for fillies and the Clásico Old Man (G3, 1400m, dirt) for Colts and Geldings. Meanwhile, older horses will clash in the Clásico Chacabuco (G2, 2400m, turf). Serving as the opening leg of the prestigious Campeonato Palermo de Oro Verde (Palermo Green Gold Championship), the Chacabuco will lay the groundwork for the upcoming Clásico Comparación (G2) and the G1 Gran Premio General San Martín.

Following just two scratchings, a field of nine will line up in the marathon Chacabuco turf test. The contentious group is spearheaded by the well-known stakes competitors Acento Final (Treasure Beach {GB}), Equal Mostaza (Equal Stripes), and Full Keynote (Full Mast). They will face a hungry line-up consisting of Castañón Rim (Remote), Curious Song (Sixties Song), El Estanciero (Fire Slam), Happy Etico (Hi Happy), Jazminero Azul (Lucullan), Out of the Blue (Brz) (Drosselmeyer), Ruso Real (In the Dark), and Serengueti (True Cause).

The filly division in the Güiraldes saw no defections from the original entry list. A full field of 10 sophomore fillies will load into the gate: Achispada (Have At It), Antolina (Remote), Candy Unica (Señor Candy), Fly Cast (Made You Look), Forty's Rim (Remote), Foto Increíble (Gouverneur Morris), Holly (Nicholas), Personal Filly (Dabster), Salema (Il Mercato), and The Great Curt (The Great Day).

The companion Old Man stakes attracted a select field of seven colts looking to assert early divisional dominance: Cautivador (Pneumatic), Desert Voice (Dabster), El Gibson (Uncle Chuck), Large Dream (Fortify), Lunfardo(Daddy Long Legs), Mask May (Mask), and Negro de Pergamino (Hi Happy).

Looking ahead to the Monday, July 6 card, the afternoon's feature will showcase the distaff division in the Clásico Inés Victorica Roca (G3, 1600m, dirt) for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up.

With Hidden Vision (Puerto Escondido) opting out as the lone scratch, a competitive field of nine milers will contest the G3 event: Class Life (Fortify), Duffy (Il Mercato), Filippiada (Il Mercato), International Look (Cosmic Trigger), Mazza Sorda (Gouverneur Morris), Moto Ninja (Hat Ninja), My Pride (Daddy Long Legs), Paxing (Señor Candy), and Reina Secreta (Víctor Security).

With high-caliber stakes on offer, it is shaping up to be a must-watch week of racing at Palermo as South American racing enters a highly anticipated second half of the year.
