The standout filly of the season—and already a three-time Group 1 winner—Charm will face older mares for the first time as she steps into the spotlight of the “Pellegrini for fillies and mares"

Charm, the standout filly of her generation, headlines the list of 15 entrants for the GI Gran Premio Copa de Plata(2000m, turf), one of the marquee events that will help shape the Dec. 13 card at San Isidro, highlighted by the GI Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini.
A three-time Grade 1 winner—having captured the Gran Premio de Potrancas (G1) and Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile Fillies (G1) at two, and the Gran Premio Selección (G1) in her most recent start—the undisputed leader of her division will now attempt to secure Mare of the Year honors. She will face several dangerous peers, along with the established stars among the older mares.
The daughter of Strategos, trained by José Cristóbal Blanco, is one of two Grade 1 winners expected for the race. The other is Quita Rim (Remote), winner of the 2024 Estrellas Juvenile Fillies, who has yet to recapture that peak form.
Martana (Fortify), a leading performer on Palermo’s dirt, could take another swing at the turf, while Brazilian raider Q’Luz do Iguassú (Forestry) adds an international note, arriving off a victory in the G2 Presidente Hernani Azevedo Silva and a runner-up finish in the G1 OSAF.
A deep supporting cast includes graded performers Knows All (Le Blues), Cannolina (South Kissing), Escolastic Girl(Suggestive Boy), Neowise (Brz–Agnes Gold), Noche Alta (Hi Happy) and Obra Clásica (Suggestive Boy), along with Adi Shakti (Lucullan), Invocación (Treasure Beach), Maximiana (Treasure Beach), Pasaron Cosas (Treasure Beach) and Romana Craf (Mastercraftsman).
The Copa de Plata will distribute 120 million pesos in purse money, with 60 million to the winner and awards down to eighth place, as customary. Total entry costs amount to 1.8 million pesos.
Known as the “Pellegrini for Mares,” the race will determine the season’s top female—and Charm appears to hold all the aces for a defining performance that confirms her immense potential. Will she replicate the success of Edict (Il Campione) from a couple of years ago, also for Triple Alliance?
