The remarkable Triple Alliance filly overcame a 5-month layoff with a solid performance, confirming her elite status

Charm was, undisputedly, the best filly of 2025 in Argentina. And based on what she showed this Saturday in her return to action, she is ready to continue her dominance, now within the ranks of the older mares at a distance. Overcoming a layoff of nearly five months, the daughter of Strategos once again displayed all her virtues on the dirt at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo to claim the Clásico Arturo R. y Arturo Bullrich (G2-2000m, dirt), clearly defeating a rival of the caliber of Martana (Fortify), who had won this very race 12 months ago.
Returning under the same circumstances in which she had said goodbye—hoisting the trophy in the Gran Premio Selección (G1)—the Triple Alliance homebred finally washed away the bitter taste left after being scratched at the gates of the Gran Premio Copa de Plata (G1) in December due to physical issues.
If anyone harbored doubts, the chestnut filly swept them away by giving her all, showing her generosity and signs of maturity that, looking ahead, make her appear nearly invincible in the division.
Partnering with Juan Cruz Villagra for the first time, Charm traveled in third, relaxed and seemingly aware of her superiority. She tracked Martana, who quickly pressured the leader, Herd Immunity (Forge), until taking command mid-turn. At that point, the filly began her move, quickly drawing level with the favorite, who drifted out toward the middle of the track as they hit the homestretch. It didn't take long for Charm to strike the front, gradually pulling away to defeat her adversary by 4 lengths. She stopped the clock in 2m3s45/100, a faster mark than the one later recorded by El Emporio (Il Campione) in the Clásico Otoño (G2).
A length and a half back, Portal Maya (Portal del Alto) ran a great race to finish third, with Cannolina (South Kissing)and Herd Immunity completing the field further back.
Charm is back and in full force. She is the undisputed best and the heavy favorite for the Gran Premio Criadores (G1).
