Charm Returns to Action in the Distaff Aiming for Another Estrellas Afternoon

Winner of Last Season's Juvenile Fillies (G1), She Will Attempt to Secure Her Second Victory in the Series; 15 Entries in Total

Following her unexpected defeat in the Gran Premio Gilberto Lerena (G1), and after skipping the Gran Premio Criadores (G1), Charm will return to action in the Gran Premio Estrellas Distaff (G1-1800m, turf) on June 27th.The Triple Alliance homebred will be looking to string together a victory in the Carreras de las Estrellas series for the second consecutive season, after brilliant form in the 2025 Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile Fillies (G1) on the dirt track at Hipódromo de Palermo.
Now, the challenge will be on the turf at Hipódromo de San Isidro, a surface on which she has already tasted success in the Gran Premio de Potrancas (G1), also in 2025.
The race, reserved for fillies and mares aged 3 and up, will feature a total purse of 80,000,000 pesos, distributed as follows: $50,000,000 to the winner; $15,000,000 to the runner-up; $8,000,000 to the third-place finisher, $4,000,000 for fourth, and $3,000,000 for fifth.
The rewards could grow considerably if Dream Serena (Forge) and Igual No Soy (John F Kennedy) are confirmed in the starting gates, as both would have to pay the supplementary entry fee, which will be added to the available prize money.
Dream Serena comes off a third-place finish in the Gran Premio Copa Diamante (G1), behind Indiana Candy (Señor Candy) and Samba do Brazil (Springdom), who are also included among the 15 potential contenders for the race.
The seasoned veterans Noche Alta (Hi Happy) and Neowise (Brz-Agnes Gold) come out of that same form line and bring further quality to the field, while Lancara (Manipulator) cannot be overlooked after turning heads on the Palermo dirt with a victory in the Clásico Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas SPC (G3).
Beauty de Triomphe (Cima de Triomphe), Casa Pueblo (Strategos), Duffy (Il Mercato), Elvitas (Cosmic Trigger), Invocación (Treasure Beach), La Watson (Hurricane Cat), and Pawnee Drive (Lucullan) round out the field.
Final declarations for the Copa Alejandro Menditeguy will close next Monday at noon, while the post-position draw is scheduled for the following Tuesday, to be held in person on the 4th floor of the racetrack's Grandstand Official at 1:00 p.m.
