With the Clásico Agustín B. Gambier (G3) behind him, the selective process for 2-year-old colts in La Plata resumes with the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera de Buenos Aires (G3)

LA PLATA.— And finally, the selective process for 2-year-old colts returned to this city's racetrack. Following the three cancellations suffered by the Clásico Luis María Doyhenard (G3) —something strictly prohibited by international regulations— the youngsters will skip a step and go directly to 1400 meters in the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera de Buenos Aires (G3).
It will take place this Tuesday, when Chichipío must prove he is much more than just precocious and a sprinter, after dominating the first part of the divisional calendar without much trouble. One of four entries for trainer Marcelo Sueldoin the starting gate, the son of Angiolo has secured three victories in just four starts, including wins in the Clásico Criadores Argentinos del Sangre Pura de Carrera (L) and the Clásico Agustín B. Gambier (G3), over 1000 and 1200 meters, respectively.
Returning from Palermo is Arc Village (Angiolo), 42 days after his triumphant local debut, where he prevailed by 2 lengths over Full Amalfitano (Full Mast) in good style and time for the six furlongs. Requirements are rising on several fronts, but he is believed to be capable of measuring up.
Marcelo Sueldo will also be represented by Full Lujoso (Full Mast), Los Llanos (Le Blues), and El Pirata (Il Campione). The former finished 2 1/2 lengths behind Chichipío in the Gambier, later running a distant third to The Great Terms (The Great Day) in the Clásico Pedro E. y Manuel A. Crespo (G3) at Palermo, ahead of Los Llanos. Meanwhile, El Pirata debuted perfectly on the San Isidro turf before being a shadow of himself in the Clásico Santiago Luro (G2), finishing last behind Muy Macho Win (Gershwin).
El Pecadito (Cima de Triomphe) earned his graduation with relative ease in his fifth start and now aspires to mix with the top colts of the season in the Bosque, while the field of seven runners is completed by El Furtivo (Lucullan), winless in three attempts and needing significant improvement to find a place on the board.
