LEXINGTON, Kentucky (Special forl Turf Diario).- The mighty Citizen Bull (Into Mischief), 2024 U.S. Champion 2-Year-Old Colt, will begin his stud career at Coolmore America (Ashford Stud) in Kentucky starting with the 2026 season, following his final race in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1) this November at Del Mar.

A winner on debut over 5½ furlongs at Del Mar in August of his juvenile season, Citizen Bull, trained by Bob Baffert, immediately displayed exceptional talent. Three weeks later, he overcame an outside post to finish third in the Del Mar Futurity (G1), and soon confirmed his promise with two commanding Grade 1 victories: the American Pharoah Stakes (G1) and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1), feats that secured him the undisputed title of 2024 Champion 2-Year-Old.

At three, he continued his winning ways, taking the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3) by nearly four lengths and the Shared Belief Stakes by 5½ lengths.

“The only 2-Year-Old Champion by Into Mischief, Citizen Bull will be a fantastic addition to our roster,” said Dermot Ryan, general manager of Ashford Stud. “He comes from the powerful Into Mischief / Distorted Humor cross that produced the proven stallion Practical Joke, and belongs to the family of Ashford’s young sire Tiz the Law (Constitution).”

Trainer Bob Baffert added after the colt’s most recent triumph: “He’s back over the distance he truly loves. The Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile is our big target… today you saw the champion Citizen Bull.”

Coolmore is expected to announce his stud fee in the coming months. All signs indicate that the Into Mischief colt will emerge as one of the most attractive new stallions in the U.S. market, combining precocious talent, sustained speed, and a top-class pedigree.
