Colifato Novo, Vundu, and other major stars feature on San Isidro's Sunday program

Following Saturday's festival at Palermo, the Clásico Ecuador (G2), Clásico Sibila (G2), and Clásico Condesa (G3) will be run this afternoon
Following the festival experienced on Saturday at Palermo with the opening of the Triple Crown, the attention of Argentine turf will shift this afternoon toward San Isidro Racecourse, where three consecutive graded stakes will add luster to a twelve-race card.
The Condesa (G3-1000 m), the Ecuador (G2-1600 m), and the Sibila (G2-1600 m), all on the grass, will form a varied and attractive menu, while also beginning to shape the path toward the big meeting of the Gran Premio Jockey Club(G1).
The first of the major events will arrive at 5:10 PM, when five sprinters face off in the Clásico Condesa, a natural stepping stone toward the Gran Premio Suipacha (G1).
Enjoy Dancing emerges as the figure with the most current form and experience. The daughter of Hi Happy built an excellent campaign, boasting eight victories and admirable consistency in major speed challenges. Winner of the Olavarría (G3), Ocurrencia (G3), General Francisco B. Bosch (G3), Islas Malvinas (L), and Producción Nacional(L) stakes, she returns to a straight course where she has always felt right at home.
Opposing her will be La Gran Furtiva, who already knows exactly what it means to win the Condesa. The daughter of South Kissing is going through a positive stretch and will try to capitalize on her seamless adaptation to the kilometer to defend her title.
Roshita (Gouverneur Morris) also boasts top-tier credentials. Undefeated in her first three starts, she reached her peak by winning the Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha (G1) and the Saturnino J. Unzué (G2). She subsequently went through an inconsistent phase, though her recent third-place finish off the layoff in the México (G3), precisely over 1000 meters, left encouraging signs.
Tartana Frank and Sunny Frank, both daughters of Gidu, complete a small but competitive group. The former has won three of her six outings, while the latter is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Ocurrencia and owns four victories on the Jockey Club turf.
Half an hour later, the Clásico Ecuador will arrive—likely the strongest and most wide-open race on the card. Twelve milers will take center stage, several of them with Group 1 credentials and their sights firmly set on the Gran Premio San Isidro (G1).
Colifato Novo will seek to reunite with his finest form. Voted the Champion 2-Year-Old Colt of 2024, the son of Lenovo won the Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile (G1) and Gran Premio Dos Mil Guineas (G1), alongside several graded stakes. He returns to the testing ground where he built his finest performances, and his class demands utmost respect.
Bronx (Qué Vida Buena) also knows what it takes to celebrate at the highest level. Winner of the Estrellas Mile (G1) and a previous renewal of the Ecuador, he returns with more than enough credit to establish himself as one of the main contenders. Don Griego (Long Island Sound), meanwhile, comes off a runner-up finish in the 9 de Julio (G2) after stringing together several wins, including his conquest in the Pippermint (G2).
Vundu (Suggestive Boy) brings another heavy dose of quality to the field. Winner of the Estrellas Classic (G1) and owner of nine victories, he cuts back to the mile—a distance somewhat shorter than his ideal trip—but his sheer talent could help him overcome the challenge.
El Gazpacho (Bodemeister), winner of the 9 de Julio (G2); the veteran Comando Secreto (War Command), hero of the Gran Premio Palermo (G1); and Talented Hit (Hit It a Bomb) also arrive with serious claims. Amidst a group loaded with experience, Tiffony Mo (El Moisés) embodies the new wave: riding a five-race winning streak, he will now test whether his rapid growth can hold up against the top older milers.
Finally, the Clásico Sibila will be contested for fillies and mares, featuring six runners and a fairly balanced landscape.
Adi Shakti appears to have an ideal opportunity to return to the winner's circle. Winner of the Asociación de Propietarios (G3) and the Didia, the daughter of Lucullan was runner-up in the Carlos P. Rodríguez (G2) and General Las Heras (G3) stakes—credentials that put her a step above her rivals.
Verenna (Cosmic Trigger) arrives bolstered by her recent victory in the Handicap Petite Ecurie and is another who knows the San Isidro turf inside out. Her consistency and tactical flexibility make her a serious threat.
Lancara (Manipulator), winner of the Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas (G3), will aim to regain her peak level, while Abrazo al Cielo (Treasure Beach) cuts back in distance after showing form over longer trips. Orphila(Daniel Boone), who possesses stakes experience, and Moon's Destiny (Orpen) round out a lineup in which no one can take victory for granted.
San Isidro thus offers three distinct propositions with a single goal: turning all eyes toward October. Sprinting speed will kick off the action, the milers will star in the afternoon's marquee showdown, and the fillies and mares will close out a stakes block that promises to keep the excitement high following an unforgettable day at Palermo.
