In his stakes debut, the son of Univisión defeated Talento Emergente by four lengths at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo

Jumping from the allowance ranks into stakes company posed no problem for Colour Vision, who became one of the standout performers on Thursday afternoon at the local track after taking the Handicap Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo (1400m, fast dirt), the race that completed the stakes double opened by the Clásico Benito Lynch (L).
The son of Univisión, coming off a win at Palermo and carrying the minimum weight of 55 kilos, was all business: he went straight to the front and proved untouchable. Showing early speed, he sparred briefly with Talento Emergente(Equal Talent, 55½), took sole command around the turn and, in the stretch, displayed clear superiority over his rivals.
He hit the wire 4 lengths in front of the same Talento Emergente, who in turn held third-place Notable Island (Lizard Island, 59½) by another length. Four lengths behind came the heavy favorite Quebracho Joy (Fortify, 58½), who ran far below expectations. The clock stopped at an impressive 1:22.14.
Trained by Mariano de Rose for Stud Don René, Colour Vision was guided by Elías Martínez and now owns 4 wins from 15 starts, three of them achieved at La Plata. Bred by Haras Luna Nueva, he is out of Recolour (Bahiaro), a half-sister to G2 winner Señora Colega (Señor Candy).
