Battling on the lead from the start, he never tired en route to victory in the Especial Cafrune over 1500 meters

LA PLATA.- Untouchable. That is the current version of Colour Vision, who delivered another flawless performance Tuesday and now appears ready to think seriously about stakes company. Clearly at the peak of his powers, the son of Univision captured the Especial Cafrune (1500m, dirt), the first of the two races above allowance level featured on the card.
Coming off a neck defeat to El Gazpacho (Bodemeister) in the Clásico Jockey Club de Venezuela (L), the Stud Don René runner went straight to the front from the break, battling early with favorite Yak Sport (Glory Seattle, 56) while opening several lengths on the rest through a strong pace, despite the fractions not appearing on the broadcast.
Turning for home, Colour Vision was left alone on the lead after effectively sending his rival “to the hospital,” but the closers were still looming and it was fair to wonder whether the early effort would take its toll. Instead, the opposite happened: glued to the rail, he kept digging in and reached the wire 1 1/2 lengths clear of Silencio Dramático (Grand Reward, 54). Another length back, Bombay Lake (Anjiz Lake, 54) completed the trifecta in a final time of 1:30.38.
Trained by Mariano De Rose, Colour Vision is yet another successful maternal grandson of the tremendously generous Bahiaro (Incurable Optimist), whose influence continues to shine at the highest level through champions such as Arellano (Angiolo) and El Musical (Il Campione), as well as stakes winners Amor del Bueno (Angiolo), Ambar Rose (Angiolo), Sean Halo (Sebi Halo), and El Cid Campeador (Il Campione), among many others.
