Comparsa Rusa tops Haras Tradición sale

A 50 percent interest in the daughter of Strategos fetched 63,800,000 pesos during the nursery's traditional spring auction, held at its farm in Arrufó, Santa Fe

ARRUFÓ, Santa Fe.— By mid-September, the Annual Yearling Sale at Haras Tradición has become a true staple in this region of northern Santa Fe province. For the fifth consecutive season, the nursery managed by Raúl Bertero hosted its signature celebration, welcoming friends and clients to share in the fruits of years of hard work by the farm's entire team.

With a crowd of nearly 400 people providing a lively backdrop, the event stretched into the early hours of the morning, proving to be a resplendent success both in the ring and among attendees, who enjoyed a memorable experience complete with an exceptional dinner and a double performance by acclaimed folk artist Indio Rojas.

On the equine front, everything unfolded seamlessly, highlighted by the brilliant contributions of folk singer and improviser Nicolás Membriani, who greeted and bid farewell to each lot with fantastic rhythmic verses.

The sale topper was the filly Comparsa Rusa, a daughter of Strategos and Sarras (Sebi Halo), and the second foal out of her dam. A 50 percent interest in the grey fetched 63,800,000 pesos, with the buyer granted the option to select her trainer. Following her breaking process, she will enter the care of Gustavo Scarpello at San Isidro's Campo 2 training center.

The second highest price was recorded for Muy Argentino, an attractive colt by Pneumatic out of Ocasionada(Southern Halo), making him a half-brother to multiple winners Sixty Years (Pollard's Vision) and Hato (Hat Ninja). The final bid on the bay reached 58,300,000 pesos from buyers representing Santiago del Estero.

Rounding out the top three prices was Relojiado (Angiolo out of the stakes performer Tinguiririca, by Easing Along), acquired by Stud Sin Rival for 58,300,000 pesos.

Another standout price was achieved by Mami Chula (Cosmic Trigger out of G3-placed Qué Chula, by Endorsement), with a 50 percent share selling for 57,200,000 pesos.
