The middle-distance division for fillies and mares may have found a powerful new leader in Coni Fizz, the gray filly who turned in another high-class performance Friday at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo. Just weeks after capturing the G3 Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera over 1400 meters on turf, she returned to her preferred surface and proved unstoppable once again, stepping up to a mile to take the G3 Clásico Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas SPC and remain unbeaten on dirt.

Trained by José C. Blanco, the daughter of Marconi (Tapit) appears to be getting better with every start. After taking the second half of 2024 off, she returned stronger than ever and is clearly on a path aimed toward the top.

Under a confident ride from Emanuel Jairo FloresConi Fizz seized command right out of the gate and was never seriously threatened. Pecadora Joy (Fortify) attempted to apply early pressure but paid the price, fading to finish sixth. Turning for home, the leader found another gear and kicked clear at the 300-meter mark, undeterred by the damp track or any mild challenge from her rivals.

At the wire, Coni Fizz was five lengths in front of Noche Alta (Hi Happy), who rallied wide to earn the runner-up spot, with Ethereum (Portal del Alto) a neck back in third. The final time was a sharp 1:35.36, off splits of :23.84, :47.27, and 1:11.30.

Now a winner of five of her seven starts, Coni Fizz continues to climb the ladder with authority, and there's every indication she could stretch out even farther given her class and pedigree.

Sired by a son of Tapit, whose offspring are renowned for their stamina and class, Coni Fizz also has a deep female family behind her. Her dam Azarella (Hurricane Cat) hails from a line that includes G1 winner April Talk (Confidential Talk), Accionador (E Dubai), Aprilla (Roy), and Maggie Go (Winning Prize), one of the standout juvenile fillies of 2024.

With each outing, Coni Fizz only gets more impressive. She's undefeated on dirt, dazzling once more, and right now, the sky may very well be her only limit.
