Only 10 races will be held this Monday at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, where the forecasted high temperatures are expected to take center stage. In terms of good races, there will be two key contests, with the Tatán Handicap (1800m, dirt) and the Tintilla Handicap (1000m, dirt) set to feature, both for fillies aged 5 and older.

In the first of these, with 6 confirmed entries, it could be the right moment for Costa Dark (In the Dark), hailing from Córdoba, to claim her first victory outside of the typical class level. Carrying 56kg, the Las Cuatro stable representative from Río IV enjoyed two consecutive impressive wins on this track before finishing third, 3 1/4 lengths behind Olímpica Hit (Hit It a Bomb) in the Clásico Contraventora.

Challenging her in the race will be Noche Plateada (In the Dark, 56), Reina Casada (Long Island Sound, 57), and Priola (South Kissing, 53), who finished second, third, and fifth, respectively, behind Cleopatra Kal (Anak Nakal) in the Handicap Lombardo just 12 days ago over 1800 meters on San Isidro's dirt.

Completing the field, with slightly less impressive records, are Galitza (Bodemeister, 52) and Olimpia de Epiro(Southern Cat, 52 1/2).

Later, at 8:00 PM, the Tintilla Handicap will take place in memory of the unforgettable sprinter. It could be Roman Garella (Remote, 56) chance to shine at this level. With a brief but effective career, she has claimed 4 wins in 7 starts, including a notable second-place finish to the retired Ansia Clara (Angiolo) in the Clásico La Troienne (L) on San Isidro's turf.

Her competition won't make it easy, with Chocotorta (Todo Un Amiguito, 56 1/2), who finished sixth, 6 lengths behind Aubrie (Angiolo) in the Clásico General Francisco B. Bosch (G3), Betania B (Angiolo, 56), who previously triumphed in the Handicap Solyluz before being well-beaten by the boys in the Handicap Hunter's Moon, and Una Causa (True Cause, 57), carrying the maximum weight and coming off a fourth-place finish behind Emely (Il Campione) in the Handicap Carapálida over 1200 meters at home.
