LA PLATA.- Jockey Franco Menéndez produced a masterful ride aboard Decan Dall to capture Tuesday’s Especial Tan Cerezo at La Plata. The 1200-meter contest served as the final stakes-level event of the Argentine season, completing a hat-trick of feature races on the day's card.

A hard-knocking and honest campaigner, the son of Victor Security showed immense bravery in mid-stretch, threading the needle through a narrow opening to overhaul the seasoned veteran Vespaciano (Daniel Boone). Carrying 54kg, Decan Dall drew off late to secure a two-length victory, stopping the clock in a sharp 1:12.00 over the fast dirt.

Racing for Stud Racing Solo, Decan Dall improved his position steadily throughout. After looming a bold threat around the far turn, he found a seam between Vespaciano and the fading pacesetter and favorite Indy Pro (Indy Point). Once clear, he asserted his dominance to safe-keep the spoils.

Cántaros Song (Alcindor) finished three lengths back in third, followed by Noni Letal (Don Letal) and Indy Pro, who weakened significantly in the final furlong.

Conditioned by Jorge H. Prida and bred by Antonio Rubén Campos, Decan Dall recorded his fifth and most significant victory in what has been a productive 27-start career. With this score, his lifetime earnings surpassed the 25,000,000 peso mark.

The winner’s dam, De Por Acá, is a daughter of Perfectperformance, who enjoyed a standout afternoon as a broodmare sire after his grandson Sono Perfetto took the G2 Clásico Clausura earlier on the card. The pedigree boasts international flair, as Decan Dall’s third dam, Dinamita (Equalize), is a half-sister to the brilliant GI Spinster Stakes winner Different (Candy Stripes).
