The son of Víctor Security bounced back from his latest setback and recorded the seventh victory of his career

LA PLATA.- The Especial Snow Cat (1200m, dirt), which closed out Tuesday’s strong trio of featured events at this racetrack, produced a finish overflowing with excitement.
Rediscovering his best form after a previous effort in which he never looked comfortable, Declan Dall surged late to capture the victory in another admirable ride from jockey Franco Menéndez, who continues enjoying a stretch of form worthy of high praise.
Within a race developed around pacesetter Finsonius (Interaction, 58), Declan Dall advanced steadily from off the pace and only fully entered contention in the stretch, just as the leader had already completed his task.
That was when the eventual winner launched his run along the inside, while Muy Cortés (Hurricane Cat, 54 1/2)improved on the outside and Cántaros Song (Alcindor, 58) tried to push through between horses in tighter quarters.
The three remained closely matched until the final furlong, when Declan Dall finally managed to separate himself from the others.
At the wire, the winner held a one-length advantage over Muy Cortés, with Cántaros Song another length back in third. The favorite Finsonius finished fourth, beaten only half a length more, after a final time of 1:12.96.
Racing for Stud Racing Solo and trained by Jorge Prida, Declan Dall is a son of champion Víctor Security (Stormy Atlantic) out of De Por Acá (Perfectperformance), bred privately by Antonio Campos.
His record now stands at seven victories from 33 starts, six of them achieved over the La Plata surface and the other at Palermo, where a few months ago he upset Rugiente (Il Campione) in the Handicap Equal Stripes.
Among his notable wins also appears the Especial Tan Cerezo.
