The son of Sabayón has already secured 13 victories and will face seven rivals while carrying the top weight of 60 kilos

The Sunday racing action shifts to Hipódromo de San Isidro, where weather conditions will play a key role in determining whether the scheduled allowance races remain on the turf course as originally planned. Heavy rainfall has affected certain areas in recent hours, and with an unfavorable forecast ahead, the final decision will rest with track officials.
A 12-race program is on tap, though once again, field sizes remain on the small side—a trend that has persisted in recent weeks at the Jockey Club Argentino’s venue. In an effort to counteract this, the track has implemented two purse increases over a short period.
The feature event of the day is the Clásico Asociación Argentina de Fomento Equino (L), a 1200-meter turf test run diagonally across the course for 3-year-olds and up under weight-for-impression conditions.
Carrying the top weight of 60 kilos is Despacito (Sabayón), the 7-year-old warrior from La Pampa who continues to deliver. Just 13 days ago, he secured his 13th career victory with a commanding performance in the Clásico Río de la Plata (L), contested under identical conditions—albeit carrying two kilos less.
A formidable challenger to the favorite is the in-form Hit Rouge (Hit It a Bomb, 57.5kg), who enters on a three-race winning streak, most recently capturing the Clásico Intendente Melchor Posse (L) over Palermo’s turf. Representing Stud Los Raro, he makes his San Isidro debut and is sure to be a tough competitor.
At Palermo’s 1000-meter trip, El Paradigma (Il Campione, 56.5kg) finished second, three lengths behind Lone Ranger(Le Blues) in the Clásico Jerry Honor, making him another key contender.
Meanwhile, Garufa Mask (Mask, 55kg) cannot be overlooked, especially with Francisco Leandro in the irons. He recently delivered a decisive win in a strong allowance race and steps up in class with confidence.
