The undefeated Coolmore filly completed the French Filly Triple Crown and made the Irish jockey the first ever to win every Classic in England, Ireland, and France

CHANTILLY, France (Special to Turf Diario).– The brilliant Diamond Necklace confirmed this Sunday everything that was expected of her by prevailing in the Prix de Diane Longines (G1), although she had to exert herself much more than anticipated to sustain her undefeated record and continue building an exceptional campaign.

The daughter of St Mark's Basilica, a massive public favorite presented by Aidan O'Brien for the Coolmore silks, encountered unexpected resistance from the outsider Pink Panthera (Clachnak), who at 35-1 came within inches of causing one of the biggest surprises of the European season.

Ridden by Ryan Moore, Diamond Necklace managed to prevail by just a neck over the French representative guided by Tony Piccone, while Inis Mor (Galiway) completed the podium two lengths behind the protagonists.

Beyond the sporting result, the victory carried historic significance for Moore, who became the first jockey in history capable of winning every Classic in England, Ireland, and France.

True to his style, the extraordinary Irish rider avoided any personal spotlight: "I am very lucky to ride for Aidan and for Coolmore, who breed and buy horses of this level. I am delighted to have won this race and that she was able to do it. Now we just have to go and try again next week," he commented.

For Diamond Necklace, the triumph represented much more than another G1 conquest. The filly completed a sequence reserved for extraordinary champions, joining legendary names such as Allez France (Sea-Bird), Divine Proportions(Kingmambo), Zarkava (Zamindar), and Blue Rose Cen (Churchill), the only ones until now to have won the Prix Marcel Boussac (G1) at 2, the Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (G1), and subsequently the Prix de Diane.

Furthermore, she emulated her sire, St Mark's Basilica, who had also achieved a French Classic double during his campaign. For O'Brien, the victory signified another outstanding chapter in an extraordinary season. The Irish trainer already accumulates 7 Classic triumphs in 2026 and acknowledged being deeply impressed by the qualities of his pupil.

"I am short of words. She is an incredible filly—very natural, very agile, very quick, and perfectly capable of getting this trip. She does everything with tremendous ease," he expressed.

Undefeated in 4 starts and increasingly consolidated as one of the ultimate figures of the European generation, Diamond Necklace continues to build a campaign that already ranks her among the best fillies on the continent and now invites dreams of even greater challenges during the second half of the season.
