The daughter of Peten Itza fell to that rival in the Especial República de Panamá, but now the weights are different; they face off in the Handicap Haras Cumeneyén

LA PLATA.- The stakes doubleheader this Tuesday at the racetrack of this city will be completed with the Handicap Haras Cumeneyén, over a 1000-meter trip, for mares 4 years old and up with 3 or more wins, offering a prize for the winner of just 5,270,000 pesos.

There are 9 confirmed runners, with the candidacy falling upon the always generous Doña Chila (Peten Itza), tasked with carrying the top weight of 60 1/2 kilos. The chestnut from Stud Pobre Vasco is in a very good moment, despite coming off a third-place finish, 4 3/4 lengths behind Tormenta China (Malenchini) in the Handicap Tintilla at Palermo.

Here she will face a tough rival in Gran Celestial (Il Mercato, 57 1/2), with Iván Monasterolo traveling specifically to ride her. Representing Stud Tinta Roja, she made headlines in her most recent outing by winning the Especial República de Panamá and defeating Doña Chila herself by 2 lengths, although receiving an 8-kilo advantage—a difference that will now be reduced to 3.

The presence of the consistent Maylena (Qué Vida Buena, 58) will not be minor either; after winning the Especial Paris Queen, she finished third behind the aforementioned rivals in the República de Panamá. She is always ready to be a protagonist in the finish...

A step further down, but with identical hopes, the names of Country Ville (56) and Nashville Blue (57) appear in the analysis. Both are daughters of the sprinter Nashville Texan (Forestry) and arrive at the stakes level in high spirits following respective victories in conditional ranks.
