The daughter of Storm Embrujado nailed Reina Casada on the wire by a nose in the Halo Ola at San Isidro

In a green-flag finish, and after several minutes of suspense, the Especial Halo Ola (2000 m, normal dirt), the main event of a poor Friday card at San Isidro racetrack, went to Dona Zoe.
Carrying over the great form she had been showing in conditional races after returning from a layoff earlier this season, the daughter of Storm Embrujado nailed Reina Casada (Long Island Sound) on the wire, taking full advantage of the weight difference between the two, with a 60 to 54 scale that favored the winner.
Within a race of a strange pace, Playa Chopera (Treasure Beach, 56) broke the development by pulling several lengths clear at the front with fractions of 24s26/100, 48s87/100, and 1m12s94/100. Dona Zoe and Reina Casada settled into the chasing group, but, around the turn, the former began to drop back until trailing the field. The straight arrived and, step by step, it was Reina Casada who was mastering the leader and hinting at her third consecutive victory.
However, William Pereyra found another gear in the pupil of Agustín Pavlovsky, who fought back and chipped away at the differences until nailing her rival on the line by the narrowest of margins. Four lengths back, Doña Súper (Daddy Long Legs, 56) completed the trifecta, with the favorite Farra Girl (Greenspring, 56) trailing the field, surely with some physical issue involved.
