The full sister to the stallion standing at Haras La Pasión, whose first local crops will hit the sales this season, maintained her undefeated record in 2026 by capturing the Chicago Stakes (G2)

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (Special for Turf Diario).– The name of Mutasaabeq is beginning to resonate with increasing strength in Argentina, and this Friday it received a fresh international boost thanks to Eclatant, his full sister, who maintained her perfect 2026 campaign by prevailing in the Chicago Stakes (G2), contested over 1,400 meters on the Churchill Downs dirt.

While the first Argentine crops of Mutasaabeq, a stallion jointly imported by Haras La Pasión and Haras La Nora, prepare to debut on the tracks during 2027, the daughter of Into Mischief once again displayed the talent that places her among the best female sprinters in the United States.

Bred by Stonestreet Stables and trained by Brad Cox, Eclatant achieved her third consecutive victory of the season by defeating Foie Gras (Volatile) by a head, completing a flawless campaign that already included successes in a Gulfstream Park allowance and in the Madison Stakes (G1) at Keeneland.

The bay filly is a daughter of Downside Scenario and a full sister to Mutasaabeq, winner of the Bourbon Stakes (G2) and the Mucho Macho Man Stakes (L), whose arrival in the country generated enormous expectation due to the genetic combination of Into Mischief with a family that continues to produce top-level runners.

With Irad Ortiz Jr. in the irons, Eclatant confirmed her grit to overcome a tough resistance from Foie Gras in the decisive stages, stopping the clock in 1m22s62/100 for the 1,400 meters.

"Brad did a great job giving her time to come back. She is reaching her peak," Ortiz commented after the race.

The next target for Eclatant would be the always challenging Ballerina Stakes (G1) at Saratoga, on her path toward the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint (G1)—to be run at the end of October at Keeneland—while in Argentina, anticipation grows to see the first generation of the promising Mutasaabeq in action, now backed by another highly relevant victory within his own family.
