The Haras Don Julián homebred achieved the milestone by recording the 15th victory of his career in the Clásico Revista Palermo

The story of El Mejor Recuerdo keeps adding new, happy chapters. Now six years old, he shone once again Saturday at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, capturing the Clásico Revista Palermo to register the 15th win of his career from 26 starts.
The Rosario-bred star was ruthless against his four rivals—Mario’s Rim (Remote) was a late scratch—dominating almost from gate to wire and stopping the clock in an excellent 1:10.60. With Kevin Banegas in the irons, the son of Il Campione briefly trailed Despacito (Sabayón) before taking over and setting his own tempo. After splits of :24.34 and :46.28, he drew clear through the final 300 meters to win by two lengths, with Approval Cat (Endorsement) third, another three behind.
Trained by Daniel Cima for Haras Don Julián, El Mejor Recuerdo has now collected nine stakes victories, highlighted by his Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G1) success on May 1 over 1000 meters—a trip in which he remains unbeaten at Independencia and highly effective on the Palermo dirt.
This latest triumph pushed his career earnings beyond 100 million pesos, a remarkable milestone for a horse who has missed the board only twice in his life and has gone favored in most of his appearances. A truly outstanding campaigner.
