Locked in a tight and contentious field, the Cosmic Trigger fillies arrive firing on all cylinders, riding a wave of eight consecutive victories between them

Fireworks are expected as a wide-open field of 14 fillies and mares anchors the 2026 renewal of the Clásico Estrellas Dirt. Contested over 1,300 meters on the main track, the race is one of the newest additions to the Carreras de las Estrellas festival, which kicks off the first of its two high-profile days of racing this Friday at Hipódromo de San Isidro.
With a lucrative 12,500,000 pesos winner's share on the line, ownership group Stud El Olimpo and trainer Hugo Pérezhold an enviable hand with a powerhouse uncoupled entry. They will send out the undefeated Bella María alongside stablemate Ma Perque, a pair of Cosmic Trigger daughters riding a combined four-race winning streak.
Bella María earned the mount from Cristian Velázquez, the first-call rider for Gabriel Bascoy’s operation. Highly regarded from day one, she recently shrugged off an eight-month layoff to register a gritty, narrow victory over Luna Curiosa (Safety Check) in a demanding allowance test on the turf. Stripping fitter with that seasonal reappearance under her belt, she is expected to move forward significantly. Her back will be covered by Ma Perque, who successfully transitioned from the allowance ranks to stakes company with an impressive victory in Palermo's Handicap British Empire, defeating stakes winner Bichita de Luz (Fragotero).
Prominent stable Rubio B. will also mount a dual-pronged attack. Trainer Juan Carlos Etchechoury Jr. lines up Victoria Bayern and Emisora Mundial, both daughters of Santillano who enter in peak form. The former exits a narrow neck defeat to Foto Mental (Leofric) in the Clásico Joaquín V. Maqueda (G3) at La Plata, while her stable partner also enters off a runner-up effort, finishing second to Majestic Rim (Remote) in the Especial Amsterdam.
The 3-year-old filly Emprestada (Cosmic Trigger) looms as dangerous as any in the lineup, despite an uncharacteristic last-place finish in the aforementioned Maqueda Stakes.
Additionally, Naimabad (Il Campione) enters on a sharp upward trajectory and demands serious respect, while Naja (Fortify), Isolation (Suggestive Boy), and Lessons of Life (Le Blues) add further depth to a highly competitive field.
