Winner of the most recent Clásico Ciudad de La Plata (G2), he enters off a sub-par effort in the Unzué (G1) on the San Isidro straight

LA PLATA.- Several of the best current sprinters on the turn will square off this Sunday in the Clasico Emilio Casares (L-1200m, dirt), the feature event of the card at the racetrack in this city. Without a doubt, the main attraction is the local return of El Resero Con Capa, the winner of the last Nov. 19 Clasico Ciudad de La Plata (G2), the division's top reference each season.
The son of Angiolo subsequently tested his luck in the Gran Premio Félix de Alzaga Unzué (G1) on the grass at San Isidro, but the experience did not end as hoped. He finished 15th, though only 6 lengths behind El Fortín (Il Campione), the afternoon's hero.
The Stud-Haras Tres Jotas sophomore has always shown his best form when navigating the turn, and he will once again face a primary challenger from the Pauli stable, the winningest outfit of 2025 at "The Forest."
In the Ciudad, Es Aristocrático (Angiolo) pushed him to the limit, and now it will be Encantador Pass standing in his way. The latter seeks to capitalize on his current top form, which saw him easily capture the Clasico Benito Lynch (L)six weeks ago in a blistering 1m10.14s. Also the winner of the Clasico Jockey Club de Azul (L), the son of the notable Distinctiv Passion is expected to make his presence felt.
After taking the Clasico Ciudad de Ensenada by defeating Garboso Frank (Gidu), Vendaval Joy (Roman Joy)stretched out to 1400 meters, but the result was not as expected. Returning to a shorter trip, as always, he remains a dangerous threat.
The veteran experience of Oro Azteca (Empire Aztec) could play a fundamental role. He enters off third-place finishes in the Especial Haras San Benito, the Handicap Hipódromo de San Isidro, and the Clasico Uberto F. Vignart (G3), a clear sign of his current fitness.
Winner of the Clasico Islas Malvinas (L) at San Isidro as a 2-year-old, Secreto a Voces (Springdom) looks to rebuild his path in La Plata, while Andrin (Manipulator) brings a couple of interesting black-type placings to the table...
