Embozada Rim pulled off an upset when breaking her maiden in the Clásico Carlos Casares (G2), but the outlook will be different this Saturday. Back then, few paid her any attention; now, the situation is the exact opposite. Most eyes will be fixed on her to see if she can ratify the talent shown that afternoon, overcome the dual challenge of the turn and the 1200-meter trip, and maintain her leadership within the 2-year-old filly division in the Clásico Saturnino J. Unzué (G2), the opening high-level event of the card at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

The daughter of Remote will have to carry her stamina a bit further, which is rarely an easy task when precocity is the ruling factor. In the Casares, she defeated Mayan Goddess (Made You Look)—who is absent here—by 1 1/2 lengths at longshot odds.

She will face several rivals posing a significant threat, such as Siesta (Cityscape), with whom the tandem of jockey Gonzalo Borda and trainer Marcelo Sueldo seek another early celebration. Lacking a sprint pedigree, she opened her record with a clear victory on the San Isidro turf over this same distance. For her, the change of surface remains the primary question mark.

The field includes another undefeated runner in Marynda (Master of Hounds), with Kevin Banegas up, who also won on the Jockey Club grass in a tight finish over 1000 meters. In her case, she not only switches surfaces but also tackles a turn for the first time while facing an extra 200 meters of demand.

The third time was the charm for Juara (Storm Embrujado); however, like the others, she earned her promotion on the green, and with the Palermo dirt proving difficult lately...

Venus Win (Gershwin) is technically a maiden, though she has already crossed the wire first, having been disqualified due to a medication positive. She had previously defeated her rivals by several lengths, and if she manages to finish in front here, it cannot be considered a surprise.

A wide winner on the La Plata mud, Amiguita Casual (Todo Un Amiguito) goes for the double—and since she won't be running against Bayakoa (Consultant's Bid) either...
