LA PUNTA, San Luis (Special for TDN) – Making his debut at Hipódromo La PuntaEndo Verde stamped his name on the 2025 Gran Premio Vicente Dupuy (G3, 2400m, dirt), the only graded race of the season held in the country's interior, contested before an enthusiastic crowd.

A former Stud Tinta Roja runner with a long and productive career at the top tracks, the son of Endorsement showed grit to edge out Code Breaker (True Cause) from Mendoza in a tight finish, with jockey Emanuel Sosa delivering a well-judged ride.

The margin between them was a mere head, with Praia do Forte (Suggestive Boy) closing late to grab third, ahead of Fest King (Daniel Boone), who had taken command at the top of the stretch. J be Storm (J be K) and Votemos(Manipulator) followed, completing the race in 2:35.60 over a fast track.

Trained by Gastón Avila for Stud Alma MíaEndo Verde was bred by the now-defunct Haras Las Raíces and was coming off a fourth-place finish in Palermo’s Clásico Otoño (G2), where he trailed Need You Tonight (Hat Ninja) by 9 1/2 lengths. Before that, he had finished second to Endor Rye (Endorsement) in the Clásico Haras Argentinos (L), also at Palermo.

The victory marked the fourth career win in 21 starts for Endo Verde, pushing his earnings past 31 million pesos, with 15 million coming from his triumph in the Vicente Dupuy.

Galán de Moda Stuns Colifato Novo in His Return

Another highlight of the day was the comeback of Colifato Novo (Lenovo), a two-time G1 winner, in the Clásico Estrellas Puntanas (1000m, $5,000,000 to the winner). Dropping down in distance, the heavy favorite was upset by Galán de Moda (Qué Vida BuenaCouturier, by El Prado, bred by Haras Don Florentino), who scored a commanding six-length victory, stopping the clock in 58.51 seconds.

Meanwhile, in the Clásico Estrellas Precoces (800m, dirt, $5,000,000 to the winner), Dices Que Sí (TouaregQué Se Dice, by Qué Vida Buena, also bred by Haras Don Florentino) claimed the win after the disqualification of Buzz Lightyear (Seahenge), who had interfered with La Alfonso (Grand Reward). The race was completed in 47.43 seconds..
