Following three consecutive off-the-board finishes, the Fortify filly turned it around with a gate-to-wire score in the second feature on Tuesday's La Plata card

LA PLATA.- LA PLATA, Argentina— Following a string of unplaced efforts, Eneta (54kg) got back on track and rebounded completely to capture the Especial Día de la Bandera, the second stakes feature on Tuesday's card at this track, contested over 1400 meters on a fast track.

Ridden aggressively by Brian Enrique, the daughter of Il Campione took the lead early and set the fractions, with Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 56) being the only rival to give chase. Once in the straight, the Stud Ka-To-Ja-Si defender put away her pursuer and cruised home without complications.

At the wire, she crossed 3 lengths clear of surprise runner-up La Cordial (Santillano, 52), with favorite Frape (Vástago Salvaje, 54) completing the trifecta a head back. The final time for the distance was 1:25.44. In contrast, top weights Empress Life (Legión de Honor, 58), Tac-Tac, and City Land (Lizard Island, 58) failed to threaten, finishing fourth, fifth, and seventh, respectively.

While the race text notes her as a daughter of Il Campione, she is a daughter of the outstanding Fortify out of Encomiada (Southern Halo). Her dam has also produced the ultra-consistent Endler (Cima de Triomphe), a ten-time winner whose victories include the Clásico Reconquista (L) and Clásico España (L). This marked the fifth career victory for Eneta, her third at La Plata, and her first in stakes company.
